Worked example
What a month looks like for a 200-subscriber publication.
The per-copy figures are a provider's published list price for one specific product, fetched on a specific date. Your quote will differ by format, page count, color and mail class.
Example: what you'd pay us in a month
Illustrative example200 subscribers · 12-page full-color issue · Growth plan.
| Growth software subscription | $79.00 |
| Printing — 200 × $3.42 | $684.00 |
| Postage — 200 × $0.73 | $146.00 |
| Fulfillment markup (5.0%) | $41.50 |
| Total charged by the platform | $950.50 |
Card processing fees are charged by your payment processor on reader payments and are not collected by us. Sales tax, where applicable, is added at checkout. Per-copy figures: Lob published list price for a 12-page color letter, First-Class (fetched 2026-10-25). Illustrative only.

Open the calculatorHow we think about pricing
We make money when you keep publishing, not when you grow a bigger list than you can afford to mail.
- Flat software fee
- Our incentive is retention: a publisher who stays for years is worth more to us than a quick upsell. The fee does not scale with subscribers.
- Disclosed markup on fulfillment
- Running provider integrations, reconciling invoices and handling exceptions costs something. We charge for it as a stated percentage on each quote, lower on higher tiers, rather than hiding it in a 'postage and handling' line.
- Reader money never passes through us
- Subscriptions are charged on your own Stripe account. We cannot hold your revenue, delay a payout, or keep your subscribers if you leave.
Pricing is introductory and may change before general availability. Any change is announced before it takes effect and shown in your dashboard before it applies to your account.
